There was once a world without a potent economy,
but full of life,
Parents were interactive with kids,
Friends were seeing each other’s faces and hearing real voices,
Siblings were playing, fighting, cuddling, and sharing smiles and sorrows,
Kids were playing on mud and with tangible people!
Years passed by,
Economy inflated,
Technology massively improved,
And now, we have digitized ourselves into binaries,
Parents have engrossed themselves in WhatsApp and YouTube media all-day,
People started believing everything shown in media to be true,
Friends forgot each other’s faces and voices and started believing that friendship is all about a WhatsApp wish on birthdays and anniversaries,
Siblings forgot to play and fight as they started believing that being in their rooms locked, is the new normal, they call it “Having Space”!
Kids are yet playing games but through their mobiles or play stations,
Couples are living as roommates, and communicate to the whole world through social media, but not very much, to each other under the same roof.
People started designing their homes with different rooms for individuals, and they started naming it as wealth that they want to boast!
Individuality is personality, not defining yourself as a lone self, and it does not need isolated rooms or a mobile cemented in one’s hand throughout the day.
Technology is luxury, and luxury does not mean giving up essentials.
A weaker economy taught us better values than having materialistic pride!
P.S.
This post is not degrading technology. It is just about overusing them, thereby, unconsciously dismissing your valuable life with real people around!
