Live Yet Another Day – Book Review by Author | Poet – Georgiana Laura Gheorghe

It’s a book based on a true story written by Indian author, Niveditha Praveen. The author’s writing style is unique and can be easily understood. The world that she created is a bit similar to the Bollywoodian movies, but more exciting in terms of plot, which is a mixture of modern American and Indian life.

The readers will get to „visit” one of India’s most famous tourist sites, the state of Goa, known for its culture, multiculturalism, historic sites and neighborhoods, museums and science centers, and last but not least, its beaches. They will also gain knowledge about a slice of life of most Indians, different types of foods, traditions and clothing.

Sophisticated readers will get a chance to read the complex characters’ mind and understand some of Vibha’s philosophical point of view about certain aspects of life. Vibha represents the modern Indian woman, who struggles to live a life without restrictions, in which she is free to choose her friends and find true love. She is smart, studious and sometimes childish, a trait shared by her friend and later beau, Rishi.

The novel teaches us the importance of friendship, gratitude, empathy, forgiveness, love, humility, loyalty, trust, honesty etc.

Memories of the past, letting your children spread their wings and fly, new beginnings, living life away from the comfort zone, life’s ups and downs, facing your fears, making decisions, finding inner peace and many other themes are discussed here.

There are some things with symbolic meanings like: water – life, rebirth; the ocean – strength, hope and truth; the rain – determination, foreboding, cleansing because Vibha will finally trust her friend enough to open up to him, sadness, calmness, obstacle; the weather reflects the girl’s changing perspective about life and love; the sandstone – a summation of people’s life experiences; the rose quartz – gentleness, compassion, unconditional love, emotional support, relationship healing etc.

Through her book, Mrs. Praveen encourages us to learn from our mistakes and use them to strengthen us to overcome the obstacles along our journey through life. She also advises us to enjoy the little things and to not take things for granted.

The plot mostly focuses on the two friends’ attempts to express their feelings, but they are always interrupted by Umesh and other circumstances. The names of the main characters (Vibha and Rishi) represent brilliance, a ray of light; inner beauty and wisdom, things which most people struggle to find and understand.

Along with Katie Jenkins, Todd Fahnestock, Eileen Mueller, Richard H. Stephens, Alisha Klapheke, Laura Daleo, B. K. Boes, Nicole Zoltack, A. G. Roemmers, Anabel Bright, Sarah K. L. Wilson, C. L. Schneider and J. R. Swiger, Dani Hoots and many others, Niveditha Praveen revolutionized the romance fiction genre with the world she created.   I recommend this book to the sensitive souls.
